‘Taking a closer look – using intrinsic markers in animal ecology’ is the title of a public lecture being organised on Tuesday from 6 to 7pm at the Department of Biology of the University’s Faculty of Science. The speaker is Barbara Tigar from Hope University, Liverpool, UK.

Intrinsic markers are useful to track the dispersal and migration of organisms. They allow researchers to trace the movement of species without having to use mark, release and recapture techniques. The lecture will introduce two methods of detecting biogeochemical markers.
