Two men were this afternoon granted bail after they pleaded not guilty to dealing in a kilogram of cannabis grass.

Malcolm Brincat, 22, from Birkirkara was granted bail against a deposit €5,000 and a personal guarantee of €10,000 while his cousin Kenneth Brincat, 27, from Attard, was granted bail against an €8,000 deposit and a guarantee of € 12,000.

The cousins were also charged with the possession of small amounts of cocaine and psychotropic drugs, including ecstasy, with the intent to sell them.

Police Inspector Herman Mula told the court the police found the drugs in Kenneth Brincat's car and a garage used by both cousins. Malcolm Brincat was the first one arrested and he led police to his cousin.

Lawyers Gianluca Caruana Curran and Franco Debono appeared for the men.
