AXISA. On the March 16, CARMELINA, née Attard, widow of Eddie, passed away peacefully in her 97th year, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her daughter Mary and her husband Ray Runza, her grandson Robert and his wife Anita and her great- grandchildren Nicky and Jay Jay, her sisters in-law Helma, Emily and Josephine Attard and Joyce Abela, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, also her loving and dedicated carer Grace. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9am for Jesus of Nazareth parish church (Nazzarenu), Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Down Syndrome Association, Malta, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CREMONA. On March 17, at Mater Dei Hospital, DAVID PATRICK, aged 76, passed away peacefully. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45pm for Msida parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

GALEA. On March 15, ANTOINETTE, aged 80 (ex-Head of the Special School for the Blind and the Deaf, Pietà) passed away peacefully at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK. She leaves to mourn her great loss her numerous nephews and nieces and their families in Malta and UK, other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements in Malta will be announced later. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

SCERRI. On March 16, at Karin Grech Hospital, EMANUEL, of Sliema, residing Ta’ Xbiex, went to meet the Risen Lord, aged 81years,comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife M’Rosaria, k/a Lucy, née Arnaud, his children Carmen and Joseph, grandchildren Amanda and her husband Lionel, Kurt, Jurgen, Stephen, and Kayley, his brothers Telesphoro and his wife Gemma, Michael and his wife Mary, cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karen Grech Hospital today at 1.15pm for St John of the Cross parish church, Ta’ Xbiex where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Requiem Mass

A Mass for the repose of the soul of JOSETTE AMATO will be celebrated tomorrow at 8pm at Lapsi church, St Julian’s. Tomorrow would have been Josette’s 57th birthday and to commemorate the day, her husband, Edward and her children, Michael and Angie have organised this Mass. The attendance of family and friends would be very much appreciated.

In Memoriam

DARMANIN. In loving memory of ADELINA, today the second anniversary of her death. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children Austin, Anna, Paul and Tonio, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Always in our thoughts and prayers.

FORMOSA – PAULINE. In loving memory of a special sister on the 23rd anniversary of her passing away. Sadly missed by her brother Lawrence, her nephew Andrè, Etienne and Jean Pierre and their respective spouses. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be said at 6.30pm at St Julian’s parish church.

MUSCAT SCERRI – WINNIE. Years roll over but memories of you will remain because you deserve to be remembered. Remembered for positive issues of which you had too many, both as a wife, mother, nanna and a friend to me ever since I was a toddler, thanks to the strong friendship of our respective mothers. A penitential walk led by Fr Donald Bellizzi is being held from the Madonna Tas-Saħħa church in Rabat to the Mellieħa Sanctuary on Friday at 10pm.

Transport with payment from Mellieħa to Rabat will be available.
