The Malta Society of Model Makers is holding a model exhibition of ships, warplanes, figures, cars, tanks and engineering-related models of various scales at the Catholic Institute, Floriana, until next Sunday.

Of particular interest is the figure section made up of casted white metal soldiers representing various regiments from different eras and armies. All figures are hand-painted in their authentic uniforms by members of the society.

There is a section in which modellers will be building their models, giving visitors the chance to interact as well as to observe the techniques used. Scale models under construction are also being displayed.

Fully functional radio-controlled models, mainly AFM patrol boats and commercial tug boats, will be on display and demonstrations will be held throughout the day.

The exhibition will be open on weekdays from 9am to 6pm and weekends from 9am to 8pm.

Next Thursday being a public holiday, the exhibition will be open from 9am to 8pm.

The exhibition will be closing at 5pm next Sunday.
