BORG. On March 14 , JOHN, of Birkirkara, aged 79, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Carmen, his children Rose and her husband Lino Mercieca, Silvio and his wife Josephine, Joseph and his wife Ruth and Isabelle and her husband Joseph Fenech Adami, his grandchildren, great-grandchild, his brothers and sister, in-laws and their families, other relatives and friends. CASHA. On March 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, GEORGE of Cospicua, residing at Rabat, aged 82, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Carmelin, his children Joseph and his wife Carmen, Richard and his wife Mariella, Marlene and her husband Johnny, Patrick and Marthese, Kenneth and his wife Agnes, his grandchildren, brothers and sisters, together with their husbands and wives, his brother-in-law and his wife, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for Ta’ Ġiezu church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am, followed by interment at the Santa Margerita cemetery, Rabat. GALEA. On March 14, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROGER, of Rabat and residing at Pembroke, aged 90, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his nephew Winston and his wife Myriam, their children Martina and Danielle, other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30pm for St Paul’s collegiate church, Rabat, where Mass praesente cadvere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. HOGG. On March 14, at Casa Antonia, CHARMAINE, passed peacefully away, aged 81. Beloved mother of Mark and his wife Marina, grandmother of Andrew and his partner Sabrina, Emma and her partner Peter, and Luisa, and great-grandmother of Alice, as well as wife to John Edleston. The funeral service will be held at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery church tomorrow at 2pm. No flowers by request but donations to the Little Sisters of the Poor will be greatly appreciated.

HORNYOLD-STRICKLAND – ANGELA, Dowager Countess della Catena, of Sizergh Castle, Westmorland. Died peacefully on Sunday, March 8, aged 86. Beloved mother of Henry, Clare, Robert, John, Alice, and Edward, grandmother to Hugo, Thomas, Francis, Rollo, Zoë, Katie, William, Alexander, Eleanor, Cecilia, and Rufus. Requiem Masses

A Mass for the repose of the soul of JOSETTE AMATO will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 18 at 8pm at Lapsi church, St Julian’s. Wednesday would have been Josette’s 57th birthday and to commemorate the day, her husband, Edward and her children, Michael and Angie have organised this Mass. The attendance of family and friends would be very much appreciated.

On the initiative of the Catenian Association (Mensija Circle), a Mass for the repose of founder-member EDWARD (Dino) STILON, who died on February 17, 2015, is being said at the Salesian Oratory, Sliema, tomorrow at 7pm. The attendance of family and friends and members of the Catenian Association would be appreciated.

Tomorrow being the trigesima die since the death of JOE SULLIVAN, Mass for the repose of his soul will be said at 7pm at St Patrick’s church, Sliema. The attendance of relatives and friends will be appreciated. Parking will be available in St Patrick’s ground.
