Daniel John Bugeja is holding an art exhibition at Palazzo de Piro entitled Rixtelli u Mapep mal-Milja taż-Żmien. The exhibition runs until March 31.

Bugeja is a self-taught artist who applies his artistic vision through his unique interpretation of Maltese architecture. The artist continues to be especially fascinated by the main gates which adorn the old cities, particularly those which have been long lost or ruined over the centuries, together with the designing of old city maps of Malta and Gozo.

The artist says the raison d’etre of his art is Maltese culture and the drive to preserve, educate and foster knowledge among others on what gems Malta has, together with what has been lost through the passage of time.
