BUGEJA. On March 12, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANDREW of Qormi and residing at St Paul’s Bay, aged 75, went to meet the risen Lord comforted by rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Censina, his children Kate, Grace, John and Alex and their spouses, his grandchildren and his great-grandson, his brothers and sisters, his in-laws, his nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. CASSAR PULLICINO. On March 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, CELINE, née Bonett, widow of Ġużè, aged 83, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss, her children Victor and his wife Wendy, Rachel and her husband Peter, and Louis and his wife Joanne; her grandchildren Rebecca, Alexia and her husband Kurt, Amy, James, Luisa and Edwina; her great-granddaughter Ana, her brothers Jean, Frederick and Ramon, her sister Germaine and their respective families, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8am for the parish of the Annunciation, Balzan, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30am, followed by burial at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. HORNYOLD-STRICKLAND – ANGELA, Dowager Countess della Catena, of Sizergh Castle, Westmorland. Died peacefully on Sunday, March 8, aged 86. HUSNI BEY – FATIMA EL GAZZAR, died peacefully on Thursday, March 12, in Beirut, Lebanon, surrounded by her family. Beloved mother of Husni, Nasri, Amal, Salah, Adel, Jalal, Faiza, Najat, Reda and Ibtissam. She leaves to mourn her loss all her children, their respective families, and friends. PIZZUTO. On March 11, Sr CLAIRE (May), went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, her sisters Carmen Pizzuto and Lulu and her husband Maurice Mifsud Bonnici, her nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated today at 9.30am at St Joseph Convent, St Dominic Square, Rabat, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Sagra Familja, Żabbar, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
WILLIAMS – JOHN. Friends both here and abroad will be saddened to hear of John’s sudden death. He came to Malta with the amazing and glamorous act Guys In Disguise, which reigned at The Preluna for a decade. He fell in love with Malta, and has lived here since. A kind, generous, funny man, he will be much missed. We have lost a friend, but Heaven has gained a bit more sparkle.
His funeral will be held at Naxxar cemetery on Monday, March 16 at 10am. All are most welcome to come and say goodbye to him.
