Bland Group is organising a charity event for International Women’s Day at the InterContinental Malta, St Julian’s, tomorrow from 5pm to 10.30pm).

Open to everyone, it is intended mainly for working women who can rarely attend any Women’s Day event, since most or many are held in the morning or afternoon during the week.

The event is similar to a seminar but with people flowing in all the time, rather than sticking to a rigid schedule. Participants can choose to attend various sessions, ranging from empowerment, aromatherapy, homeopathy, equality and motivation to make-up, among others. There will also be many stands on site.

At 8.30pm, there will be a 30-minute interval for those who choose to stay on for the second part of the programme, during which a fashion show organised by SuperNova Model organisers will be held.

President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca is attending the event.

Part of the proceeds from the entrance tickets will be donated to two shelters for women who have suffered domestic abuse in Malta and Gozo – Dar Merħba Bik and Dar Emmaus in Gozo.
