A thief last night made off with €350 in cash stolen from the cash register of a convenience store in Triq Ross, St Julian’s, the police said.

The theft took place at 9.30pm.

The police said the man was  not masked and was carrying an item, possibly a weapon, which has not yet been identified.

A salesgirl present during the theft was not hurt.

An inquiry is being held.
