During our holiday on Malta last week, I had occasion to seek medical attention. Although I was only at the Saint James’s clinic for a few hours the care I received from the medical and nursing staff was highly professional, kind and courteous.
More particularly, as I left it was raining and there would have been a wait for a taxi to return us to our hotel. A young Maltese couple with a small child insisted upon ferrying my wife and me back there in their car. That was a very kind gesture.
May I through these columns express again my heartfelt thanks for that assistance. It was Malta and the Maltese at their best.
