Din l-Art Ħelwa took up the invitation by the director of the Manoel Theatre to celebrate its jubilee year with a concert in the very place where its foundation took place 50 years ago. The concert featured Carmine Lauri and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Brian Schembri. Among those attending the concert were President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, who is the patron of DLĦ, British High Commissioner Rob Luke and Mrs Luke, Italian Ambassador Giovanni Umberto De Vito and Ms Hadar De Vito, Béatrice Le Frapper du Hellen and various benefactors and sponsors of DLĦ. Seen here are Manoel Theatre chairman Michael Grech, the President, HSBC Malta CEO Mark Watkinson, DLĦ president Simone Mizzi and DLĦ’s 50th anniversary committee president Albert Mamo.
