The annual Mellieħa-Senglea pilgrimage is being held between Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. Last year, €80,000 were collected by participants and sponsors in aid of the Puttinu Cares Cancer Support Group.

The night walk, which will be held on April 3, leaves the Sanctuary of Our Lady in Mellieħa at 2am and will cover around 30 kilometres.

Those taking part are advised to be in Mellieħa by 1.30am. At the end of the walk, participants will be able to visit the Nativity of the Virgin Mary parish church in Senglea.

There will be free transport before and after the walk. Minibuses will be available along the route to pick up those who may want to stop. These participants will be taken to Senglea.

Participants are asked to donate a minimum of €10. For more information, call 9999 1800.
