This morning’s rain failed to damped the enthusiasm of participants in Fondazzjoni Nazareth’s second edition of Bil-Qadfa ta' Kulħadd - walk, run, cycle or a ride with the fun train.

The majority of the route passed from the countryside of Żejtun, Marsascala and Żabbar. The walk and run route were eight kilometres and the cycle route 12 kilometres. The event started and finished at Żejtun’s Market Square.

The participants’ enthusiasm paid off as the sun shone when they had covered have of the route throughout the rest of their challenge.

The event, which started with a minute silence for volunteer Patrick Vella, who lost his life in an accident at Palumbo Shipyard yesterday, included the participation of a number of members of Parliament and television personalities.

The foundation’s project is to build its fourth premises to be used by people with special needs.
