The Court of Appeal has confirmed two judgments that had fined MaltaToday editor Saviour Balzan and former journalist Karl Schembri €2,000 for a report on the government-owned Voice Of The Mediterranean (VOM) radio station.

Richard Muscat, a former Nationalist Parliamentary Secretary who was general manager of the VOM, had sued MaltaToday for libel in 2006 following a report alleging shortcomings in the administration of the station.
