Voters who will be abroad or in hospital when the spring hunting referendum and local elections are held must make a sworn declaration so they can vote on April 4.

The declaration can be made at the Electoral Commission’s offices, Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta, or at the identity cards office, St Francis Square, Victoria, by noon on April 3.

People whose name was included in the Electoral Register published on January 26 will be receiving the voting document between today and March 18. Voting documents will be delivered between 9am and 1pm and 2.30pm and 8pm every day including Saturdays and Sundays.

Those contesting the local elections can call at Evans Building or the ID card section in Victoria on Monday between 9am and 12.30pm and from 2pm to 5pm and on Tuesday from 9am to noon to verify how their name will appear on the ballot paper.

Requests for additions, deletions or corrections on the ballot paper must reach the Electoral Commission in writing by noon on Wednesday.
