Seven people have been killed in overnight shootings in south-eastern Missouri and the gunman is also dead, US police said.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Jeff Kinder said the 36-year-old suspect was found dead from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Investigators said the attacks took place in multiple locations in and around the town of Tyrone, about 40 miles north of the Arkansas border.
The victims were found at four different homes. One injured person was taken to hospital.
An investigation is ongoing. A motive for the killings and possible connections between the gunman and victims were not immediately clear.
