The price of a 12 kilogram gas cylinder will go down to €17 from €18 in March and April, the government said.

It said this was the cheapest price in the past three years for this period with the price in April in the last year of the previous legislature being €19.70.

The government said this policy of stability in prices was leading Maltese consumers to benefit from a very low inflation rate reducing uncertainty in prices and making it easier for businesses and families to plan.

The Energy Ministry thanked Liquigas for its cooperation to ensure stability in gas prices and the Malta Resources Authroity for its work.
