Theatregoers are in for two evenings of satire and nostalgia this weekend with Teatru Rjal’s presentation of Aħn’Aħna Jew M’Aħniex – a stage version of the popular TV show broadcast more than 28 years ago.

The spectacle will feature 13 songs from the original show, which producer Pawlu Testa says are still valid today. These will be presented by a host of singers including Neville Refalo, Jeffrey Scicluna, Debbie Scerri and Ina Robinich, as well as Vince Fabri, who had written and composed the music for the 1987 series. Guests from the original programme will be present. The band will be directed by Joe Brown and Ray Abdilla will direct.

Satire will be by Toni Busuttil, Snits and Ron.

Aħn’Aħna Jew M’Aħniex will be staged at the Catholic Institute, Floriana, tomorrow at 7pm and Sunday at 6.30pm.
