Obituary
AZZOPARDI. On February 25, CARMELA (former Director of English Motoring School), aged 84, passed away peacefully at her residence. She is deeply missed by her children Patrick and his wife Anna and Valerie and her husband Joseph, her grandchildren Matthew and Noeleen and her sister Benita Gwenn, relatives and friends. The funeral leaves her residence tomorrow at 1.50pm for Gżira parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
CASSAR TORREGGIANI – Capt. FRANCIS, KOMR. WWII Veteran, born Vittoriosa, April 4, 1923, passed away February 14, 2015 in Nanaimo, BC, Canada. Predeceased by his wife Benita in 2009. Leaves to mourn his six children, Anne (David) Cavazzi, Patricia Jansen, Peter (Rosanne Garcia), Benita, Victoria and Kim, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Bill (Mae), Andrew (Judy), sisters-in-law Heather and Claire, many relatives and friends.
Interment of ashes in Malta at a later date. May he rest in peace.
CASTLES. On February 25, at Mater Dei Hospital, Major JOSEPH THOMAS CASTLES, aged 93, widower of Irene, after an illness so bravely borne, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his children Eleonora, Emma, Elizabeth and her husband Roger, Elaine, Edward and his wife Lisa, his grandchildren James, Robert, Ben, Helen, Francesca, George, Emma, Thomas and Adam and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Monday, March 2 for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am, followed by burial at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family gratefully acknowledge all the help, kindness and attention shown by the staff of Casa Antonia, Balzan, and Mater Dei Hospital. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MELI. On February 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, DORIS, aged 79, widow of John Vincent, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Maris and her husband Aldo, Simon and his wife Carmen, Brian and his partner Flora, Raymond, widower of her daughter Joan, nephews and nieces, her brothers and sisters and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Friday, at 2pm for Tal-Ibraġ parish church,where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated.

Being the 28th anniversary of MARY PACE DECESARE’s meeting the Lord, all Masses said today at Ta’ Xbiex parish church, will be offered for the repose of her soul and of her husband Victor.
Tomorrow’s 6.30pm Mass at St Patrick church, Sliema, will be offered for the repose of the soul of LOUIE von BROCKDORFF, who passed away on February 17, 2015, his sister MARIE THERESE TABONE, née von Brockdorff, who passed away on January 30, 2015, also her husband VINCENT who passed away on February 22, 2015, both in Sydney, Australia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
