Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin general secretary Josef Vella yesterday condemned the fact he was asked for his mobile phone before a meeting at the Home Affairs Ministry.

He refused and the meeting was not held. He said he had never come across such behaviour at meetings he attended with ministers and the Prime Minister at Castille “This is not the way to treat social partners. This behaviour reflects a lack of trust by the government.”
