Hibernians will be without their chief scorer Luis Edison for Saturday’s BOV Premier League clash against Żebbuġ Rangers as yesterday he was handed a one-match ban by the Malta FA Disciplinary Commissioner.

The prolific Brazilian netted his 24th league goal of the season in last week’s 2-1 defeat of Qormi at the National Stadium but picked his fourth booking during the same match that earns him an automatic one-match ban.

Floriana will be without Italian forward Matteo Piciollo and defender Sacha Borg for the clash against Tarxien Rainbows at the Tedesco Stadium on Saturday after both were handed a one-match ban.

The other name on the list of suspended players yesterday was Claudio Frances.

The Pietà Hotspurs forward was also banned one match and will skip his team’s upcoming league clash against Sliema Wanderers at Corradino on Saturday.
