Nathan Lee Xuereb had the better of William Chetcuti in the decisive match to win The Keeper’s Double Trap Selection, organised by The Malta Shooting Sport Federation yesterday.

This competition was on five rounds of 30 clays each and the semi-finals and medal match on another 15 pairs.

In difficult weather conditions, Xuereb advanced to the semi-finals after hitting 127 out of 150 clays in the qualifying round, three behind Chetcuti. The two prolific shooters qualified for the medal match with Xuereb obtaining 26 points to Chetcuti’s 25.

In the decider, Xuereb again managed 26 hits to Chetcuti’s 25 to win the trophy.

Gianluca Chetcuti was third after beating Johan Xuereb in the final round.
