The University of Malta’s Department of Economics is holding its sixth annual public lecture in memory of Nadia Farrugia. Ms Farrugia was an assistant lecturer at the university.

The lecture, entitled Drivers of Change in the Global Auto Industry, is being held at the Faculty of ICT auditorium at the university on March 11 at 6.30pm.

The speaker is David Bailey, an expert on economic restructuring and industrial policy, best known for his knowledge of car manufacturing.

As an author, regular media commentator and newspaper columnist, Prof. Bailey has covered key economic and policy issues including the closure and eventual reopening of the MG Rover car manufacturing plant in Birmingham, the UK, and the Jaguar Land Rover economic success story.
