The former Bay Street Hotel, now renamed as the be.HOTEL, has become a member of the Preferred Hotel Group.
The hotel is currently undergoing a major, multi-million euro upgrade and will welcome its first guests next month.
The Preferred Hotel Group follows a different business model to those of the hard-flag hotel chains since it does not own, operate or manage any of the properties within its portfolio. This comprises more than 650 independent hotels and resorts in over 85 countries which are all independent entities, each offering a distinct personality, setting, design and array of amenities.
Preferred Hotel Group member hotels are regularly rated among the top in the world. In January, 2014, Forbes Travel Guide included 13 Preferred Hotel Group member hotels in its five-star list and 37 hotels in its four-star list.

Argus Mosta office inaugurated
Argus Insurance Agencies products are now available from newly refurbished offices in Independence Avenue, Mosta. The outlet will be run jointly by Jason Vella and Julian Dimech.
Argus is now present in 13 localities across Malta. As a tied intermediary, it follows the structured international procedures set out by The Argus Group, a listed company on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

MFSA warning on Zenith
The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has become aware of an entity operating under the name of Zenith Funds Ltd, which has an internet presence at http://www.zenithfunds.com/ .
This entity purports to be a private investment company registered in Malta with a non-existent PO Box and physical address in Malta and claims to offer investment opportunities and other financial services.
However, the MFSA has warned that Zenith Funds is not registered in Malta and is not licensed or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any type of investment or financial service.
The website http://www.zenithfunds.com/ contains false and misleading information, it added.
