Audit, tax and advisory firm RSM Malta reported a successful participation at ICE Totally Gaming 2015 – the largest global convention for online and land based gaming operators. This year’s event was held at ExCel London between February 2-4 and the attendance broke the 25,000 mark for the first time in the exhibition’s history.

Within the gaming industry, ICE is considered as the not-to-be-missed annual appointment for the most successful, the largest and the best gaming operators, service providers and jurisdictions from around the globe.

Tax advisors from RSM Malta were present on the firm’s stand at ICE to provide information and technical assistance in respect of the recent changes in VAT legislation that came into force at the beginning of the year. As an EU member state, Malta follows the new European VAT legislation whereby VAT is now charged at the VAT rate applicable in the customer’s country of residence. This has significantly impacted remote gaming companies.

This information was particularly useful for gaming operators who have already domiciled their operations in Malta.

Led by partner Vladimiro Comodini, RSM Malta met a number of gaming operators who intend to relocate their business to Malta and others who are already in Malta and have plans to grow further. Apart from being one of the firm’s business and advisory services partners, he also leads the in-house team that is dedicated to providing advisory services to remote gaming companies.

“RSM Malta is facing 2015 with confidence and our firm is following up all the meetings held during ICE 2015, which will lead to further growth in this area,” he said.

RSM Malta is one of the main service providers in Malta for gaming operators. The firm is equipped with in-house resources to offer a one-stop-shop service for all the licensing, regulatory, compliance, fiscal, back office and audit services that a gaming operator may require.

RSM Malta is active in offering tax and VAT planning and advice, company incorporation, business and IT advisory as well as accounting, audit and payroll services to a wide range of clients operating in various industries. The firm employs around 70 people in different areas of specialisation, ranging from a variety of backgrounds including Tax, VAT, IT, legal, accountancy and audit.

RSM Malta is a certified Equal Opportunity Employer by the National Commission for the Promotion of Equality (NCPE).
