Brentford: Brentford will part company with manager Mark Warburton at the end of the season despite the club being in the hunt for an unlikely promotion to England’s top flight. The club released a statement saying Warburton and a number of backroom staff would not continue after the end of the current campaign. The club were keen for Warburton to work alongside a new sporting director with a new structure for player recruitment, a decision which appears to have brought about their split.

Monterrey: Coach Antonio Mohamed, who steered America to a record 12th Mexican league title in December, has taken charge of Monterrey. Despite the Eagles’ success in the Apertura championship in the first half of the season, the Argentine’s contract was not renewed with America preferring to sign coach Gustavo Matosas. The former Argentina striker nicknamed “Turco” was appointed on Monday to replace Carlos Barras.

Morocco: Morocco have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) over their ban from the next two African Nations Cup tournaments. Morocco, originally due to stage this year’s Nations Cup, were banned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after asking to postpone the tournament due to worries over the Ebola virus. CAF refused, moving the tournament to Equatorial Guinea and fining the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) $1 million and ordering it to pay 8 million euros ($9.1 million) in damages to CAF and its partners.

Dorrans: West Brom midfielder Graham Dorrans will join Norwich on a month’s loan this week. The 27-year-old Scotland international, who was close to moving to Carrow Road during the transfer window, will complete the temporary switch tomorrow. He told the Championship club’s official website: “I’m glad to finally get it sorted.”

Robson: Mark Robson is set to join Tim Sherwood’s new-look backroom team at Aston Villa after Scott Marshall left the club. Former Norwich coach Robson is expected to become Sherwood’s first-team coach at Villa Park, Press Association Sport reported. Marshall left on Tuesday, following Paul Lambert out of the club after the Scot’s sacking last week.
