Former Inter defender Ivan Ramiro Cordoba is to visit Malta next month to conduct a one-day training camp for young footballers and meet local Nerazzurri fans.
In a statement, the Inter Club Pupi Zanetti Malta said the former Colombia international will spend two days in Malta on March 14 and 15.
During his stay here, Cordoba will be the guest of honour during a gala dinner at the Radisson Golden Blu Resort & Spa on March 14.
“This event is an opportunity for the local Inter supporters to meet one of their idols and revive memories of the famous tripletta,” Inter Club Pupi Zanetti Malta said.
Cordoba will bring over the medals won in season 2009/10 when Inter completed a treble of Champions League, Serie A and Coppa Italia.
The following day, Cordoba will spearhead a one-day training camp for children, boys and girls, aged between four and 15.
The first session will be between 9 and 11am and the second starts at 2.30pm and finishes at 5pm.
Entry fee for the training camp is €35.
On the same day, Cordoba will host a VIP lunch at Wigi’s Restaurant in St Julian’s during which guests will have the opportunity to meet Cordoba and take photos with his medals from Inter’s treble season.
All the proceeds from these activities will go to Cordoba’s charity foundation, ‘te quiere ver Onlus’ which provides assistance to vulnerable children and families in his native Colombia.
