Archbishop Emeritus Paul Cremona visited the Seminary in Tal-Virtù to celebrate its patron saint, St Paul.

It was also an opportunity for the seminary’s community to thank the bishop for the work he carried out over the years with love and humility.

The programme was split over two days and was dedicated to the school’s primary and secondary sections.

Bishop Cremona celebrated Mass for students of years 7 and 8, focusing especially on the latter as they received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

He was also warmly welcomed in the primary section with balloons and streamers, and to cheering and clapping.

Happening two days before the bishop’s birthday, the event added more festive atmosphere in the school’s hall as children presented him with a birthday cake. The visit ended with Mass for seminary staff.

The opportunity to spend some time with priests serving at the seminary, as well as sharing an informal lunch with the school’s leadership team, served to complete his visit.
