Two cheques were presented to Hospice Malta and the Puttinu Cares Foundation by Thomas Smith. The money was raised by donations by staff members last year in return for wearing casual clothes for work.

Every Friday is dress down day at Thomas Smith, with the aim of donating to those in need. Randomly selected employees then nominate and vote charities of their choice.

Hospice Malta general manager Kenneth Delia and Anna Zammit received €1,500. Andrew Decelis, on behalf of the Puttinu Cares Foundation, received €2,000.

Donations were presented by the group’s HR manager Elaine Bonello and employees Diandra Axisa and Ligia Sammut Farrugia.

So far, over €22,500 have been donated to staff members in need, as well as local charities.
