The HSBC UK Contact Centre Malta took part in Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary School’s annual career fair to showcase the versatility of its workplace to potential new recruits.
The week-long fair provided the bank’s contact centre with the opportunity to meet students and guide them with the available career options.
Officials from the contact centre in Swatar also held a seminar to show students how to propel their ambition into a career in the global banking industry.
The contact centre’s HR and recruitment manager Fabianne Galea said: “We recognise that our most important asset is our team and we’re always looking for people with enthusiasm to join our team.”
The contact centre provides a range of services to employees, including a concierge service, in-house gym, childcare subsidies, on-site medical health checks, discounted rates on home loans, life insurance and private healthcare.
The school’s head Gaetano Calleja said: “In a rapidly evolving job market, the school is committed to educating students for leadership positions. While it plays an active role in the development of a 21st-century knowledge-based economy, the centre is contributing to the human development pillar of that goal.”
The centre provides training over a three-month period for successful candidates, during which participants will receive full pay.
