I am a staff reporter with the major Norwegian daily newspaper Dagbladet, and came across the article ‘Off the cuff cancer remarks’ by Kathryn Borg published in The Sunday Times of Malta on February 8.

I am deeply shocked to see Borg spending the latter half of her article on cancer giving credence to ‘Dr’ Ryke Geerd Hamer (who is German, not Austrian, as stated). Hamer has fled from one European country after another, for good reason: His medical teachings have no support in accepted science, and have several times proven lethal for the ‘patient’, often children.

Hamer has resided in Norway for some years now and even runs his own ‘Germanic university’ from his living room. I myself reported on him back in 2010 because patients – often parents with ill children – flock to his home from abroad to receive his ‘treatment’ – which in most cases involves getting off medicine and instead think positive thoughts!

In Norway, a number of people are deeply angered by Hamer’s philosophy, because their loved ones were taken off, for example, cancer treatment and instead died unnecessarily painful deaths.

In Germany, several parents have been charged for taking their children off essential treatment; as recently as last week, a couple in Hanover are on trial because their four-year-old died from diabetes after being taken off insulin and instead given vegetables.

But there is more. Hamer is deeply anti-semitic and preaches a conspiracy theory wherein the Jews have created the commonly accepted clinical medicine as a plot to kill off non-Jews. Hamer believes his ‘Germanic’ methods could have saved them, but the Jews keep this a secret. I am not making this up.

Hamer had his medical licence revoked in the 1980s, and has been charged in several countries. In Norway my news outlet won a case against him in the national press council, after he was angered by my stories on him.

Hamer has no scientific support for his teachings, but instead makes up evidence, cited in Borg’s article. His teachings are highly dangerous and should be ignored by the media.
