The Birkirkara St Joseph Sports Club Cycling Section will be organising the inaugural Arch Criterium at Fleur-de-Lys on February 15.

This race in the club’s hometown coincides with BSJ’s 40th year and the 400th anniversary since the inauguration of Wignacourt’s aquadot which will aptly serve as the race’s backdrop.

The top local cyclists are all expected to take part in this second race of the season under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation.

The route will be between the Fleur-de-Lys roundabout and the traffic lights near Mrieħel Street.

Six events will be organised on the day with the first one starting at 7.30am and the final open race scheduled for 9am.

The race route will be closed for traffic between 7.15am and 10.15am.
