BORG. On February 8, at Roseville Residential Home, Attard, JOSEPHINE, née Mi­callef, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her sad loss her beloved husband Philip, her children Maryanne widow of Joseph Schembri, Joseph and his wife Josette, Nathalie and Oliver, her grandchildren Roana, Sarah, Martina, Matthew and his girlfriend Chiara, and great-grandson Zack, her brothers and sisters, relatives and friend. The funeral leaves Roseville Residential Home, Attard,on Wednesday, at 2pm for Annunciation parish church, Bal­zan where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment at Balzan Cemetery. CATANIA. On February 9, CETTINA, of Siġġiewi, aged 68, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her aunt Sr M’Giovanna Axisa of the Sisters of Jesus of Nazareth, her brother Paul and his wife Nikolina and their daughter Audrey, her sister Mary and her husband Patrick and their children Anthony, Abigail, Mark and Claire and her brother Benedict and his wife Lorenza and their daughters Alison and Ingrid, their respective families, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital, on Wednesday, for St Nicholas parish church, Siġġiewi, where a Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Jesus of Nazareth Institute, Żejtun and to the Hospice Malta, Balzan will be appreciated.

CINI. On February 8, CARMEL, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by rites of Holy Church administered by his son, Fr Joe Cini SDB, and surrounded by his children. Saddened by this loss are his children Fr Joe of the Salesian Fathers, Philip and his wife Poline, Maryanne and her husband Dr. Anthony Abela Medici, Mary Doris widow of Leo Borg, Paula and her husband Patrick Pace, his grandchildren Edward, Katya, Michael, Adrian, Joseph, Victoria, Pascal and Patrice and their respective families, and his great-grandchildren Samuel and Zack. He is also sadly missed by his brothers Philip (USA) and Raymond, and his sisters Francesca, Adelina, Lilian, Catherine and their families, many nieces and nephews, Tony Muscat, a family friend, many friends at the Buġibba Boċċi Club and at Villa Messina.
Funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital at 1.30pm. on Wednesday, for St Philip’s parish church, Żebbuġ, where Mass preæsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations in his memory to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi and the Salesian Fathers (St Patrick’s, Sliema) will be appreciated.

MANCHE. On February 6, FRANCINA, widow of Gilbert, of Sliema, aged 86, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Anna and her husband Joe Azzopardi, Alex and his partner Shelia, and Carol. Her irreparable loss is also felt by her brothers Salvino, Albert and his wife Polly, her sister Sr Cecilia, as well as her in-laws Ethel and Phyllis Muscat, Loris and Albert Manche, her grand­children Joanna, Luke and his wife Rachel and Pippa, great-grandson Jake and numerous relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præ­sente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MIZZI. On February 8 at Mater Dei Hospital, LINO, aged 89, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his wife Nivea née Pensavalle, his son Mr Justice Antonio Mizzi and his wife Marlene, his daughter Linda and her husband Dr Joseph Refalo, his grandchildren Alexandra and her husband Andrea, Giancarlo and his wife Santa, and Francesco, his beloved great-grandchildren Mia and Max, his sister-in-law Tessie Mizzi, widow of his brother Robert, and their children Franco, Alida and Romina, as well as his other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. The family regrets it cannot receive visitors.

Referendum votes

Those wishing to vote a week before the spring hunting referendum on April 11 because they will be abroad or hospitalised can call at the office of the Electoral Commissioner, Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta or at 28A, St Francis Square, Victoria to make a sworn statement.

Opening hours are from Monday to Friday between 8am and 2pm and on Saturdays between 8am and 11am. Applicants need to take their ID cards with them.
