The Ghana Mission Foundation hosted its first Friends of HopeXchange get-together at Dar Qalb ta’ Ġesù, Santa Venera. The event started off with Mass celebrated by Clinton Farrugia, followed by an audiovisual presentation.

Friends of HopeXchange is an initiative started two years ago.

Project founder Mario Cappello spoke about the 80-bedded hospital project being built in Ghana, saying that it was special on two levels: medical organisations worldwide were pooling their resources and expertise to build up a health centre in this Sub-Saharan area of Africa; and the local people involved in the project would be running the centre.

For more information about the project, call 2124 2792 (mornings only) or e-mail ghanafoundation@gmail.com. The office of the foundation is at 495B, St Joseph High Road, Santa Venera.

Those wishing to donate can make a deposit via BOV11206046019 or HSBC033-143819-050. Bank cheques need to be addressed to The Ghana Mission Foundation.
