• As restoration works are nearing completion, Din l-Art Ħelwa is providing the opportunity for visitors to view the ceiling paintings by Maltese baroque artist Alessio Erardi at Our Lady of Victory church, Valletta. On the occasion of the feast of St Paul, guided tours will be held on Tuesday between 9.30am and 1.30pm. Donations towards the restoration of the church would be appreciated. • Fondazzjoni Belt Victoria is organising a free public lecture in Maltese on February 21 at 10.30am on the second anniversary of the inaugration of Il-Ħaġar in St George’s Square. University lecturer Olvin Vella will be discussing why first Gozo historian Ġ. P. F. Agius de Soldanis described Malta as African in his Gozo Antico-moderno e Sacro-profano.

• As part of its programme of cultural activities for this month, the Italian Cultural Institute is hosting two exhibitions – Shared Traces and Afterselfie – which will be on display until February 20 at the institute.

• A jumble sale in aid of the Dominican mission in Albania will be held at Guardamangia parish centre until March 8. It will be open from 9.30am to noon and from 3 to 7.30pm daily.

• The Youth Section within Our Lady of the Lily Band Club of Mqabba is organising a masquerade gathering on Friday at The Surfside in Sliema. The night will be housed by a local DJ and the complex features a fully stocked private bar serving a variety of appetisers. Doors open at 9pm at an admission fee of €5. • A prayer meeting for the sanctification of priests and for priestly and religious vocations will be held on Saturday at Għaxaq parish church. The prayer meeting starts at 9pm with Mass, followed by adoration which goes on until 11pm. This prayer meeting is held in various churches in Malta every month.
