Mosta vs Sliema Wanderers (today at 2pm, Hibs Stadium).

Mosta and Sliema head into this match with the sole intention of halting a poor run of results.

Mosta only have two points to show from their last three outings.

They are without goalkeeper Kyle Gerada (shoulder) and Dyson Falzon (knee) while Mark Brincat is rated as doubtful.

Midfielder Ryan Grech has been cleared to play today after his one-match ban was overturned on appeal yesterday. Grech was sent off in the 1-1 draw against Hibs but it turned out that the foul for which he earned a second yellow card had been committed by Kurt Magro.

Sliema have failed to win in their last five matches.

Today, coach Stephen Azzopardi is set to include new signing Junior Obagbemiro, a Nigerian forward, in his squad. Matteus, who joined Sliema from Mosta, is suspended.

Stefano Bianciardi fractured his arm and has joined Michael Mifsud and Clifford Gatt Baldacchino in the treatment room.

Pedrinho and Mark Scerri are back after missing the draw against Birkirkara through suspension.

First round: Sliema-Mosta 4-1.

Naxxar Lions vs Żebbuġ Rangers (today at 2pm, Tedesco Stadium).

Żebbuġ will be looking to make it three wins in a row when they take on fellow strugglers Naxxar Lions.

The Rangers, who have revived their hopes of avoiding the drop following crucial victories over Pietà and Qormi, start as slight favourites to beat Naxxar who come into the match on the back of three defeats and two draws.

Alfonso Greco, the Żebbuġ coach, is still without midfielder Carlo Monti who has returned to Scotland to receive treatment for a back injury.

Deadline-day signing Frank Temile, who joined from Qormi, will make his Naxxar debut but Ibok Edet is out with a one-match ban.

First round: Żebbuġ-Naxxar 3-3.

Hibernians vs Tarxien Rainbows (today at 4pm, Hibs Stadium).

Hibs will be eager to complete their second round in style when facing neighbouring rivals Tarxien.

With points halved at the start of the second phase, victory would give the Paolites certainty of starting the final round with at least a seven-point lead over their nearest rivals.

Hibs coach Branko Nisevic has strikers Andre Luis and Marko Rajic available while Clayton Failla returns from suspension. Brazilian defender Rodolfo Soares is out with a one-match ban while Marcelo Dias is still injured.

Tarxien are still without Owen Bugeja (ankle), Firas Aboulezz (hamstring) and Sean Mintoff (knee) while Triston Caruana and Alex Cini are rated as doubtful.

Carlos Hevia and Matthew Tabone return from suspension while Senegalese striker Moham-med Souly is set to make his debut after joining on deadline day.

First round: Tarxien-Hibs 1-1.

Balzan vs Pietà Hotspurs (today at 4.15pm, Tedesco Stadium).

Balzan cannot rely on Bojan Kaljevic and Gianmarco Piccioni.

The striking duo were both handed a one-match ban in midweek but coach Oliver Spiteri can still bank on Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza, Oscar Guerrero, Lydon Micallef and Ryan Darmanin for goals.

On a more positive note, Steve Bezzina and Ice Cream Guobadia are back to full fitness after missing the 2-1 win over Valletta through injury.

Pietà are in desperate need of points to boost their relegation hopes after gaining only one point from their last two matches.

Striker Luke Micallef has recovered from the knock he suffered in the 1-1 draw against Naxxar Lions last weekend.

First round: Pietà-Balzan 1-1.

Floriana vs Qormi (tomorrow at 2pm, National Stadium).

Mark Miller will make his first appearance as Qormi coach when he leads his new team against Floriana.

Miller, who has agreed a short-term contract, will be striving to lift the team’s fortunes after Qormi slid to the bottom of the standings.

Qormi will be without the injured Joseph Chetcuti while Leighton Grech is doubtful. Swedish striker Alex Nilsson completed his move to the club this week.

US forward Gustavo Villalobos, whose move to Hibs fell through at the last minute, is training with Qormi and could figure for the team for the remainder of the season.

Floriana are still without long-term injury victims Manolito Micallef (muscle), Andre Scicluna (knee) and goalkeeper Valerio Senatore while Clyde Borg, Steve Pisani and Amadou Samb are all out, suspended.

First round: Qormi-Floriana 4-2.
