CHIRCOP. On February 4, at her residence, DEIRDRE of Sta Venera, aged 67, widow of Walter and mother of the late Justin, went to meet the risen Lord comforted by rites of Holy Church. Greatly missed by her son Alex and his wife Michelle, her daughter in-law Isabel, her beloved grandchildren Emily, Bethany and Sarah. She will be missed by her sisters and brother Betty, Valerie, Marie and George, her husband’s families and her many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Saturday at 8am for the new parish church of Sta Venera, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. FAVA. On February 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROSE, née Vella, of Birkirkara, aged 69, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Lino and her son Noel, her brother Michael, her sister Josephine, her in-laws, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Joseph the Worker parish church, Birkirkara, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. MICALLEF ST JOHN. On February 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, JACQUELINE (Jackie), née Zammit, aged 43, went to meet the Risen Lord and her dear son Luke, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband Keith, her dear son Andrew, her parents Alfonse and Antonia, her brother Robert and sister Geraldine, also her in-laws Joan and Edward, and sister-in-law Alexia and husband Giuseppe Ferraro. Mass præsente cadavere will becelebrated tomorrow at 2pm at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

REFALO. On February 3, MICHAEL, aged 78, passed away peacefully at Live Life residence. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Blanche, née Smith, his children Edward and his wife Charmaine, Angela and her husband Chris, Tina and her husband Douglas, and Nicola and her husband Anthony, his grandchildren Maxine, Jacques, Krista, Valentina, Laura and Millie, his brother John and his sister Mary, their respective families, in- laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. XUEREB. On February 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE of Marsa and residing in Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara, aged 83, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband Emmanuel, her children Mariella, Dione, Ruth, Marco and his wife Mariella and Natalino and his wife Amy, her brother and sisters, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated on Saturday, February 7 at 8.30am at St Helen’s Basilica, Birkirkara, followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. A jumble sale in aid of the Dominican Mission in Albania will be held in the parish centre of Guardamangia from Saturday up to March 8.
