Advanced skincare line SkinCeuticals launched a year-long charity campaign in aid of Hospice Malta, as it marked the introduction of new products to its range.

The SkinCeuticals online shop has also been launched at www.persona.com.mt.

As part of the same campaign, Persona also made a donation to Malta Association of Dermatology and Venereology president Joseph Pace, to be used in local campaigns promoting skin cancer prevention.

The keynote speaker at the event, held at the Westin Dragonara Resort, St Julian’s, was Lamia Natafgi, SkinCeuticals’ education manager for the Middle East, who said that to maintain and improve skin health, an effective daily regimen must be preventive, protective and corrective.

Peter Apap, director of the Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre in Ta’ Xbiex, said: “Persona and SkinCeuticals are two different yet complementary brands with individual well-being and skin health at the basis of their existence.”

SkinCeuticals’ philosophy was built around three main principles: to prevent future damage, protect healthy skin and correct previous damage.

This approach, based on almost 40 years of researching and developing anti-oxidant technologies which help prevent skin ageing and skin cancer, has resulted in SkinCeuticals becoming a leading brand prescribed by dermatologists and plastic surgeons in the US.

Three new products were added to the range: Resveratrol BE, a nighttime antioxidant concentrate that helps prevent and repair skin damage; Mineral Radiance UV Defence SPF, the new tinted mineral filter fluid sunscreen; and Advanced Pigment Corrector which reduces hyperpigmentation.

A number of skin-health initiatives available at Persona included an in-depth skin analysis using Visia Imaging System, which provides information about the skin’s condition, as well as 3D facial scans.

Guests also took advantage of the free advice offered at a SkinCeuticals bar, set up for the occasion, and sampled the various products.

The SkinCeuticals range is available at Persona Med-Aesthetic Centre, Ta’ Xbiex.
