A top eurozone finance official says there is no decision so far on what to do after Greece's bailout programme runs out at the end of next month.

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the Dutchman who chairs eurozone finance meetings, also said that while Greeks have gone through "a lot" in recent years to reform their economy, progress has been made and taking unilateral steps is "not the way forward".

The Dutch minister spoke after meeting with the new Greek government in Athens.

His visit comes after Sunday's election win by the radical Syriza party on pledges that included seeking forgiveness of more than half of Greece's the debt.

The government has promised to renege on key budget reforms required in exchange for €240 billion in rescue loans.
