I lived through the war. I was a young lad then.

We had not heard of the Nazi atrocities until the war was won by the Allies. We need to recall those unbelievable atrocities committed at the Nazi camps and it would be better if we pray for all those killed. At this point, may we also remember the many more millions who were massacred and silently killed during Stalin’s reign of terror.

Of course, Stalin was then an ally but he still surpassed Hitler in his cunning way of getting rid of his enemies and supposed enemies.
