It seems the street naming committee like to dig out buried words and give them a new life by using them as street names.

I suggest that before doing this they should make sure the words they choose are attractive and easy to pronounce.

For example: How on earth is Triq Ħal Dgħejf Naxxar going to be pronounced by someone who is not acquainted with the Maltese language?

Swieqi has a lot of ugly and unpronounceable street names too. I have nothing against such words.

However, when it comes to naming a street, the committee should adopt a system where only practical and good sounding names should be chosen, so that every resident will be proud to live in that street.
