The Malta Football Association will this evening start refunding UEFA solidarity payment arrears to its 45 member clubs.

The clubs will be getting €36,725.75, which is half of the arrears.

The monies had been retained by the MFA for the 2002/3 and 2007/8 seasons.

This was being done following an MFA council decision in April 2013 when it ratified a board of internal auditors report.

The MFA will also be distributing UEFA champions league 2013/14 solidarity payment profits to the tune of €290,918 to 63 clubs and their respective nurseries.

The sum is what the MFA received for this year and will be distributed in its totality according to UEFA instructions.
