Malta will perform in the first half of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest.

The semi-finals will be held on May 19 and 21 and Malta will be represented by Amber with her song Warrior, which obtained maximum points from all five judges and the public votes. The song was written by Matt (Muxu) Mercieca and composed by Elton Zarb.

Malta will be competing against Norway, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, San Marino, Portugal, Montenegro, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Latvia, Poland, Iceland, Israel, Cyprus and Sweden.

Vienna will host the popular song contest after Austria’s entry, Conchita Wurst, won last year.
