Having read the brief article about Valletta having been short-listed for the European Best Destination 2015 title, I duly cast my vote.

I was a little surprised to see that the other nominees were identified just by their name, for example Rome, but in Valletta’s case the city name was followed by Malta in brackets.

Surely if someone votes for Malta’s capital city they’d know where it is – unless, of course, there are two. Perhaps it’s the organisers who feel we need telling.
