Lazio piled further pressure on beleaguered Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi as they beat the Rossoneri 1-0 in Milan to reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, despite playing half the match with only 10 men.

Lucas Biglia scored the only goal from the penalty spot in the 38th minute after a handball from Michelangelo Albertazzi, but the visitors from Rome were down to 10 men when Lorik Cana was shown a second yellow card on the brink of half-time.

Milan tried to rally but Lazio defended well and might even have doubled their lead only for Keita Diao's effort to strike the post.

Milan thought they had equalised in stoppage time, but Alessio Cerci was offside and Lazio advanced.
