I refer to Fr Joe Borg’s article about the aftermath of the Paris shootings (‘Are all lives equally sacred?’, The Sunday Times of Malta, January 18).

I admit the Charlie Hebdo magazine is vulgar and intimidating but the point of it all is not only the murdered people. It’s that you are living in your own country and along come these fanatics who try to tell you what to do.

That’s why all those people gathered in Paris. If the fanatics don’t like what is going on in their host country, they should go back to where they came from and in the process, they would do everyone a massive favour.

I don’t blame the French for all the fuss, as no one likes to be told what to do or say in his own country.
