Hotel Phoenicia has named Pegasus head waiter John Paul Vella as Employee of the Year. The hotel’s annual award has been established to highlight employees’ outstanding contribution.

Mr Vella, who received this award because as a result of excelling in his role at Pegasus and showing continuous commitment to the hotel’s core values when interacting with guests and colleagues, was presented with €500 and a commemorative glass plate by the hotel’s general manager Charles Azzopardi.

The hotel’s food and beverage manager Francesco Perricone said: “We are delighted that John Paul has brought the Employee of the Year accolade to Pegasus. It’s a great boost for the whole team. This award recognises an outstanding employee who exemplifies above-average technical competence and hospitality skills.”
