Denis Zammit Cutajar (pictured) was appointed CEO of P. Cutajar & Co. Ltd after 22 years successfully heading the trading company’s sales and marketing activities.

He replaces Tony Zammit Cutajar, who retired after a long and fruitful career.

“I look forward to building on Tony’s success and thank him for all the service he has given to this great family business. I’m particularly excited to be taking on this role during such a significant year, in which we celebrate our 150th anniversary,” said Mr Zammit Cutajar.

P. Cutajar began in 1865, when founder Paul Cutajar established a trading and importing business in an office adjacent to his home in Valletta. Today, the company is one of Malta’s leading local importers and distributors of wines, spirits, food and confectionery, boasting an extensive portfolio of brands such as Ferrero, Lavazza, Bacardi, Martini, Häagen-Dazs and Olly’s Premium Eats. The company also operates fashion retail outlets Coccinelle and Solaris.

Mr Zammit Cutajar, 59, is married to Roberta and has three children. He is a founding trustee of the Eden Foundation and Inspire and has served as consul for Monaco in Malta since 1994. Mr Zammit Cutajar was educated at St Edward’s College and grew up in Sliema.
