A total of 14 teams from various local sixth form colleges are taking part in the HSBC Company Programme, offered by Junior Achievement (Young Enterprise) Malta Foundation (JA-YE Malta).

This is the 26th year that JA-YE Malta is organising the Company Programme.

During the product launch event at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, over 100 students took to the stage.

Nine of the 14 teams elected to focus their company mission around solving a particular social need, be it health issues, environmental concerns, or educational topics. Eight teams are offering mobile applications, while other products include doodle chalk boards, coffee cups, lunch boxes, and a youth magazine.

Teams will now participate in The HSBC Company Programme Trade Fair on March 28 at The Point Shopping Complex, Sliema.

Winners of The HSBC Company Programme will represent Malta in the European finals in Berlin, Germany. Students also have the opportunity to sit for the Entrepreneurial Skills Pass (ESP), providing JA-YE students with an internationally recognised entrepreneurship qualification.

The ESP is driven by Eurochambres, the European Chambers of Commerce association.
