Victims of a Danish man who posed as a doctor to dupe women into false medical examinations have set up a Facebook page to raise awareness about his habit.

The Facebook page ‘Stop Michael Camilo Precht’ has more than 4,000 followers and its creators describe it as a “cry for help”, asking the police to do something about the matter.

Mr Camilo Precht, 26, claims to be setting up an agency that requires models to present a medical certificate and, as a doctor, offers to conduct the examination himself. Women in Denmark, Norway and Sweden were his victims before he tried the technique in Malta on three unsuspecting young women. According to Danish media outlet TV2.dk, in August 2013 the man was sentenced by a Danish court to three months in prison, of which two months were on conditional discharge. He admitted to 27 charges, including indecent exposure and pretending to be a physiotherapist to get girls to participate in fake medical examinations.

Last year, media outlets documented fresh cases of girls, some of them minors, who were contacted by Mr Camilo Precht through Facebook.
